REGGIES
After an error riddled start to the game and all the possession, the boars finally got on the board when Jamal Woodbridge crossed out wide for the first points of the game.
The points started to flow when Tommy Fitzgerald put in a chip kick and regathered to score under the posts. Buster Wilson took a scoot from dummy half and caught defenders out and was next to score under the posts as well. The boars were constantly making breaks through souths defence, but couldn’t execute the final pass with on too many occasions dropping the ball in the process of scoring.
Souths went for a short kick off but Jamal Woodbridge caught the ball and beat the defenders on the outside to run 60m and score another try. Goondiwindi taking a 26 to nil halftime lead.
The boars didn’t hold up in the second half with the point scoring. Derrick Craigie used his speed to catch tired defenders napping all game, creating opportunities for team mates and opened the scoring in the second half.
Jake McCosker made a break down the middle of the field and found Hayden Everingham in support, who was tackled short of the line. A short ball found Tom Andersen on the fly who crashed over under the sticks. Derrick Craigie split the middle again and found Kyle Munro in support who gifted Ben Lovell a try. It may show on the records, but I wouldn’t count it as a try.
The longer the game went on, the more the boars were making breaks. A nice pass by AJ Mcgrady put Hayden Bussell down the side line who went 50m to score. Goondiwindi was unable to keep Souths scoreless as they managed to score on the final siren. The boars winning 56 to 4.

A GRADE
A very clunky attack in the first half by the boars kept souths in the game. But once the fatigue set in as a lot of players had to back up, the boars put souths to the sword in the second half with a 62 to 14 demolition.
The boars struggled to complete their sets early with too much dropped ball gifting souths possession. Once they found a bit a rhythm, a switch out to the backline saw Ronnie David stepping his way over for first points.
Souths hit back with a try of their own and hit the lead. Some nice play up the middle had Stewart Lowe in open field and scoring under the posts and another break had will carter scoring as well.
A Knock on by the boars on the stroke of half time had souths in for their second try and keeping them in touch. Boars leading 16 to 10.
Once tom Davis scored in the opening minute of the second half, you could tell the boars were about to hit their stride as they piled on the points. A chip and chase had tommy Fitzgerald under the posts and not long after tommy had his second try.
Andrew Hoggart ran 60 metres off the next kick off to get into souths territory and a switch to the backline had Tom Davis over for his second try.
Souths managed to get into boars territory but a turnover had Matt Gardner racing 70 metres for a try. Carl Clement caused souths trouble all game with some strong carries and some inside passing had Will Carter backing up to score his fourth try. Adam Tribe was also excellent with the boot, nailing conversions from all over the field.
The boars travelling to Oakey next Saturday for the final match of the year.
