A clinical second half saw the boars rack up a score line with some brilliant attacking play led by Derrick Craigie, who scored a try and constantly terrorised the wattles defenders all game.
The boars were easily making their way up the ground and back line play saw Tom Fitzgerald crash over for his second try. With Wattles on the back foot again, Adam Tribe took on the line and went over for his second try just before full time. Goondiwindi running out convincing winners.

A late second half comeback by the boars wasn’t enough to overcome the second placed wattles warriors on the weekend in a high scoring and entertaining match.
A beautiful pass from Brandon mcgrady put Mal Mcgrady on the outside of his opponent and a simple draw and pass had Tom Davis scoring the first try of the match.
Goondiwindi had all the run at the start of the game. But some simple errors cost them many attacking opportunities. With the turnovers gifting the warrior’s possession, the momentum started to shift in their favour. With all the field position wattles were able to lay on four try’s and increase their lead.
With half time approaching, a quick tap from Brandon mcgrady on the 10m line caught the warrior’s defenders off guard and he strolled over the line to score. The warriors taking a 22 to 12 lead at halftime
The boars started off poorly in the second half with errors costing them some very soft try’s to the warriors and the score line started to get ugly. Levi Wilson scooted from dummy half to score beside the posts to close the gap, but wattles hit straight back with a try of their own.
In a twist in the game, the boars sprung to life in the back end of the game. The forwards took control with Matt Gardner and carl Clement getting wattles on the back foot, that resulted with Kriton Paletaoga Fa’Atiu and Jack Barbrooke getting try’s. Brandon McGrady fended off multiple defenders to score his second try and the boars were finishing strongly, but time run out and wattles taking the win 46 to 32.
